Lisa Silvus

Lisa grew up in the frigid tundra of Syracuse, NY. Her love for animals inspired her to become a vegetarian at a young age. She fell in love with saving animals when she moved to Orlando, FL in an area with a huge homeless pet situation. She was able to help many of these pets find homes! Lisa was a first grade teacher and now stays home to educate her own children in Knoxville, TN. She volunteers at a local animal shelter and with HSUS. In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis, reading and teaching herself the guitar. Her dog, Penny Lane, is a love-a-bull handful and is also her inspiration for joining My Pit Bull is Family as a volunteer 5 years ago.
